Just Another Day Of School

Shizumi blinked open her cerulean eyes, cat ears perking up above her head as her alarm went off, beeping a few times before she hit the snooze button. She stayed there for a few minutes, tempted to go back to sleep, not wanting to leave the comfort of her bed. She sighed, sitting up with a yawn and rubbing sleep from her eyes. Nya... She yawned softly, looking out her window. It was dawn, and birds were begining to chirp softly, a melodic tune to their voices. Shizumi got out of bed and walked to the small mini-fridge in her room, looking for something to eat.
Hmm...I need to go shopping soon... She thought to herself. The food supply in the fridge was low. She took out two blueberry waffles and put them in the toaster oven while she went to go put her math notebook and homework in her binder. She put the binder in her backpack while the waffles cooked and she went to go get a plate to eat them on when they were done. When she finished, she put the plate in the sink and walked to the bathroom to take a quick shower, wash her face and brush her teeth.
Letting out another small yawn, Shizumi pulled a comb through her hair and wrapping a white ribbon on the longer part on the side of her hair, and then doing the same on the other side. She put her school uniform on and then glanced at the clock to see how much time she had before school started. 30 more minutes... She thought. She pulled the library book she had gotten out of her backpack and sat back down on her bed, reading for twenty minutes before grabbing her phone and placing it in the pocket of her school skirt and put the book back into the backpack before walking out. She locked the door behind her and began to walk out of the apartment building she lived in, stepping out into the cool, sunny morning, making her way to school.

Yuki runs away from two tall men. shes crying, she falls to the ground as she bumps into someone. she looks up at the person her vision was blur from the tears but she could tell that it was another girl. she gets up quickly and stands behind her. "Plz help me..." she crys

Shizumi let out a squeak of surprise when she felt someone bump into her from behind. She turned around and looked to see a girl on the ground, tears coming from her eyes. Shizumi's eyes widened and she was about to ask if she was okay but before she could, the girl hid behind her. As she pleaded for help, Shizumi looked up to find two tall strange men walking towards them, cruel expressions on their gaze.
Come with me. She said, taking the girl's hand and running between two buildings. She kept running for a little bit, looking for the familiar spot. There! She picked up the pace and ran to an abandoned shop, pushing the back door open and bringing the girl inside before looking to make sure the men hadn't seen them and closed the door.
She turned to the girl, concern in her gaze and began looking her over for signs of wounds. Did they hurt you? She asked. How dare they! Those men had no right to harm innocent people!

Yuki follows after her and hugs her when they stop running and are hidden. she looks at her and smiles "am fine thank you.." she giggles lightly. then a puff of smoke forms around her and the little girl turns into a girl around the age of Shizumi. she blushes lightly "hi my names Yuki whats yours?" she smiles lightly.

Shizumi gave a small smile as she hugged her and nodded. She hugged her back, happy that she was okay. No problem. They had- She began but was cut off as the little girl suddenly turned into a girl that looked to be about her age, if not a year older. Her eyes widened in shock before glittering with amusement. I guess that would be your ability. She laughed in amusement. When the girl introduced herself, she smiled. Nice to meet you, Yuki. I'm Shizumi, but you can call me Shizu or Shi-chan if you want. She said, voice friendly.

Yuki blushes lightly and giggles. "what do you mean by ability Shi-chan?" she smiles happily at her. "thank you so much for helping me!" she strecthes lightly and smiles. "your really nice you know that! your my best friend Shi-chan!" yuki hugs her happily

"A lot of us have special talents. Like you can appear younger or older." Shizumi explained with a smile, hugging her back and giving her a smile as she spoke again. She blushed pink a little as Yuki thanked her and complimented her as well. She giggled when she said she was her best friend and her eyes glittered with happiness. "I think you're really kind, Yuki! And I'm glad." She said, her tail giving a small swish. She thought to herself for a minute before smiling again. "Hey, Yuki, do you want to go to school today, or do you want to skip it for today?" She inquired. By now class had already begun but she wanted to see what Yuki wanted to do.

yuki blinks and looks at her "school?" her bunny ear twitches slightly confused.

Shizumi blinked then gave a small smile. "Its where we go every day...except on Saturday and sunday . We learn about things and such." She explained. "But we can go somewhere else if you want." She said with another smile. She wondered how long Yuki had been living in this town. Shaking the thought she cast out her senses, listening to see if the men were there or not. All she could hear was the sound of the people in the town, so they must have left. Still, she would keep alert in case they returned. They might try to hurt Yuki or someone else...and there was no way she would let that happen. "Come on." She said, turning around and opening the door, stepping back out into the cool, sunny morning. She looked back at Yuki and smiled holding the door open. "They're gone now. But you can always hide here if you want. Or if you just want to keep something here." She said.

yuki smiles and giggles exitedly. "i dont know i'll go where ever you want to Shizumi.." she hops out the door and gives a spin "its so nice out here!" she giggles lightly. she looks back at the place "thats a cool hiding place!"

Shizumi laughed and closed the door, looking up at the sky dotted with fluffy white clouds. "It is." She said with a smile, begining to walk with Yuki. She looked back up at the clouds and giggled, pointing at one. "That one kind of looks like a little bunny." She said, looking back at Yuki. "Hey, how long have you lived here?" She asked with a smile. She hadn't seen her before, but then again, this was a pretty big place.

yuki smiles and looks at the cloud she giggles excited "yea it does.." she thinks for a moment "um a week i think.." she giggles and looks at her "what about you?"

Shizumi listened as Yuki told her how long she had been living here and she nodded. She thought to herself as Yuki asked her the same question. She had been living here since...she got a sad look but quickly wiped it away, remembering. "Since I was about 15. Its a really nice town." She said, smiling at Yuki. "If you want, I can show you around if you haven't seen it all yet." She offered. She could skip school today...she hadn't had any absences so far since school had started since she always made sure she was healthy.

yukis eyes sparkle "that would be great! could you!?" she smiles and giggles excitedly. she hops around then a cloud of smoke appears and yuki turns into the little girl. she stops hopping and sniffles "aww it happened agian..." she sighs but smiles at shizumi

Shizumi smiled and nodded. "I'd love to!" She said, laughing with her as she hopped around in excitement. Shizumi was about to say where they should start first when Yuki turned into a little girl. Shizumi couldn't help but smile as she looked at Yuki. "Its not in your control?" She asked. She thought to herself about it then looked at her again. "Don't worry about it. We'll figure it out. Here," she got down to her height. "Get on my back. I'll carry you. And if you transform again, we can both laugh if I fall." She said in amusement with a small giggle.

yuki smiles and blushes lightly "no i dont it happens when i get to scared or excited and stuff,," she giggles lightly and smiles happily "ok where are we goig to look first?" she giggles and hops on her back. "piggy back rides are fun."

Shizumi smiled as she got on and she made sure she was on before walking, hands under her knees so she wouldn't slip. "That's okay. You make a cute little girl." She complimented as she began to walk. She thought about where she should take her first as Yuki asked. "Hmm...I'll show you around the school first, since that's closest. Then I'll show you around town and where I like to hang out." She said, enjoying the cool breeze as it gently blew. She smiled at the nature around them, happy that it was a nice day. She laughed as Yuki spoke and she nodded in agreement. "I loved them when I was a little kid." She agreed.

yuki blushes lightly and giggles. yuki claps her hands "yea school!" she laughs and smiles happily.

Shizumi laughed as Yuki clapped and began to head to the school, wondering how long it would be until the bell for the next class period rang. She would be quick so that none of the teachers questioned why she wasn't in class. When they got there, Shizumi walked to the park benches outside the cafeteria where she usualy sat. "We like to sit here since its outside, but still shaded." She said, nodding at the tree. "And when we're done, sometimes we like to climb on that tree since it has apples." She said with a smile. She walked past the park on the school until she crossed the small little bridge with a little river underneath. "During break time, if I'm not with my friends, I like to sit under here and listen to music while I read or write." She said pointing to the little cherry blossom tree in front of the water. "Do you want to see inside the school?" She asked.

yuki smiles happily her eyes move around in amazment. she jumps down and runs to the cherry blossom tree. she jumps around it happily. she smiles and a poof of smoke forms around her and she turns back to normal. "i love cherry blossom trees!!" she hops onto a branch in the tree. she looks down at shizumi "sure i'd love to see the inside of the school!" she hops back down and walks over to shizumi.

Shizumi laughed as she hopped around the tree and sat on the branch. As the breeze blew, a few flowers began to slowly flitter down gracefully. Reaching out, Shizumi caught them in her hands as Yuki transformed again. She smiled, sniffing the soft, sweet scent of the pretty light pink flowers. She held one out to Yuki as she walked over to her and handed it to her. "Here. They smell really sweet today." She said, gently continuing to sniff it. As another one fell, Shizumi caught that one too and walked over to the small river, carefully setting the flowers on the river surface, smiling as they floated on top, the sky and clouds lightly reflected on the water. They slowly began to drift away and she smiled again, looking at Yuki. "Id always chase after them when they floated." She giggled, getting to her feet. "Maybe we can do that after I've shown you around." She said, smiling at Yuki.

yuki smiles as she watches the flowers. she catches a few of her own, she smells them lightly. she giggles lightly and smiles "they do smell really good!" she laughs and she walks over to the river and drops her petals on the water also. she smiles at shizumi "lets go see the rest of the school."

Shizumi smiled as Yuki dropped her petals in as well and then nodded as they got their feet. "Let's go." She said. She led Yuki across the bridge, watching the petals slowly dissapear before heading back to the park benches. She walked to the door to the cafeteria that led outside and held it open for Yuki. "This is the cafeteria. You can buy lunch here, or you can bring your own lunch. Right now the tables are up, but they put them down for lunch time so people can sit there. And there's also the ones outside." She said, leading her out. She walked down the hallway until she reached the library. "And this is the library, where we can check out books." She explained, showing her around the library. She showed her the computers and the lounge section where there were comfy chairs, bean bags and sofas to read on.

yuki smiles and follows her around. her eyes sparkle with excitment. she giggles happily

Shizumi smiled as Yuki giggled and showed her to the Fine Arts section, walking to the theatre room. "This is one of my classes." She said, then began to head towards the stairs that led up to the ninth and tenth grade hallway. She went to the tenth grade hallway and began showing her her classes. "This one and Theatre are my favorite classes." She explained with a smile before showing her the eleventh and 12 grade hallway. "And ill be here next year." She said, spinning around a little bit before turning back to Yuki. "Do you like it?" She asked.
